Wedding Ceremony

We attended our friend's wedding ceremony.

We had the opportunity to perform in the wedding.

We sang two songs, "Eternal Love" and "Great Love", in the ceremony.

We sang three songs, "Joy", "Jesus Didn't Forget About Me" and "In Dazzling Light", in the celebration.

Sweets are forever!

Those two will get along well.

We had the opportunity to perform in Israel.

We performed in the evening conference in Jerusalem.

We hope we'll be able to visit Israel next year, too.

Morning in Galiliee

I took a picture of the sunrise in Galilee.

It was majestic and beautiful.

Words could't do it justice.

It was a rare photo opportunity.

I won't forget that view as long as I live.

Sunday Service in Galilee

Even though the weather continued to rain, it was clear just before starting our service on Sunday!

What a wonderful day.

We videotaped the service using our quad-copter equipment!

EXODUS 34:10

"I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among wil see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you."

Rainbow again!

On the first day of November, we had a chance to serve in another congregation in Israel.

Fortunately, we were given a chance to sing our own original song in Japanese, English and Hebrew.

Amazingly, when we sang the line in Hebrew, the congregation sang with us!

After the meeting, we saw a double-rainbow in the sky again on our way back to the hotel.

God blessed us a lot!

We had breakfast at Galilee.
What a beautiful morning!

Rainbow in Galilee!

At the end of October, we had the opportunity to take a ship in Galilee.

However, before our trip started, it suddenly began to rain and thunder!

So I was worried about boarding.

But just before boarding, the skies then suddenly cleared and a rainbow appeared in front of the port.

After we praised and worshiped the Lord on the ship, we saw a double-rainbow again!

How lovely!

We worship the Lord in Israel!

On the first day, we worshipped the Lord together in the evening conference in Jerusalem.

We sang three of our original songs in Israel.

During the special praise time, we sang our own original song entitled "Jesus is our Savior."

When we sang the line, "Jesus is our Savior" in Hebrew, we felt the strong presence of the Lord.

We're going to Israel!

Before boarding, I saw ANA's Panda airplane.

Does it look like my friend, Panda? Just kidding.

I brought my guitar to Israel.

Noah carried my guitar instead of me.

Thank you.

We will go to Israel

Our church is sending a mission team to Israel at the end of this month. Jun and I be a part of the team. I wanted to visit there as a singing group and prayed for several years. So to me, it was like a miracle. God answered the prayer!

Our new song book, "The Sound of The Wind No. 2," was released the other day. The CD will be released in the middle of November, however we'll be able to hear the songs in Israel while we travel by bus.

So I'm looking forward to listening to our songs in Israel.

Shimizu-san is also with us.

Music service at an adult day center

On October 16, we visited an adult day center, where we regularly visit.

We sang twelve songs mainly from our gospel songbooks and we also sang some Japanese folk songs and popular songs.

At first, we sang Japanese folk songs while doing some light exercises with the participants and we enjoyed singing rounds together.

The elderly participants were especially touched by the gospel songs.

They specially requested us, so we are scheduled to visit two times in November. And we plan to tell the Good News with songs in December.

Recording

Our new songbook, "The Sound of The Wind No. 2," is now on sale.

It is comprised of mainly original Japanese gospel songs, but a couple of English songs are also included. There are seventy seven songs in all.

We recorded two songs from the songbook yesterday.

To me, it was like a dream come true because it was my first time recording as a gospel group.

I'm looking forward to the music.

The CD will be released next month.

How many times?

We have begun singing gospel music at an adult day center in Tokyo since April. We're so happy to visit there.

When I counted how many times we visited there, I realized it was the fourth time.

I'd like to perform there at least seven times, but I don't have a special reason for that number...

Performance in an adult day center

We visited again in an adult day center in Nakano.

We visit there regularly.

This month, we performed for 45 minutes with two gospel singing groups named "Uranus" and "Ezob".

In the first half we sang some popular Japanese songs and in the second half we sang "Yasuragi" and "Sound of The Wind" gospel songs.

The audience sang "JOY" and "Great Love", a couple of our originals, along with us.

We received comments like "I was so moved.", "So fun!", "Please come again" and more.

We also plan to perform next month.

We are grateful to the Lord.

Photographer

At first we weren't sure where Hiratsuka was. Now I know Hiratsuka is located near Yokohama. Fujiwara-san and his wife, who live nearby, came to the concert.

He took a lot of our photos.
It was a big help to us!
We really appreciate it!

The 2014 September Concert : Part 2

Third, we visited an European style house called "Hiratusuka no Yokan" in Kanagawa. It was built about 100 years ago and registered as a Unesco Tangible Cultural Site.

What a lovely house!

We sang eight of our original gospel songs before an audience of about 50 people.

They enjoyed listening.

Everybody was moved, so we received an encore at the end of the performance.

Some were interested in gospel music, so they asked about our next gospel concert! They said, "Please contact me when you hold your next concert."

Before the concert began...

We were served a cup of rose tea with rose cookies in the British style.
It was so delicious!

Another cup of tea...

Today was an unforgettable day.

Maple Syrup Festival

We were invited to perform in an event called "Maple Syrup Festival in Chichibu." We left a good impression. So the hosts of the festival invited us back!

Thank you!

They hold the event two times yearly in Spring and in Autumn.

We also plan to perform next spring!

There are many good things are made in Chichibu.

They make many things with their maple syrup such as cake, soda, cookies, ice cream and etc. We were given some cake and soda as gifts.

Today was pretty good for us!

The 2014 September Concert : Part 1

This year we were given the opportunity to perform on three stages in the "September Concert."

It was our first visit a nursing home in New Yokohama since last year.

It was a beautiful place and we were able to sing in front of about 150 people.

Second, we performed in JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). There were many overseas students, so in English we explained the meaning behind our songs.

We sang "Jesus Didn't Forget About Me" by EJ from the Sound of the Wind 2 Songbook.

Many people listened with interest.

Some performers sang Japanese songs in Japanese traditional clothes called "Kimono." How lovely!

We will perform at Seibu Chichibu Station

We received a request to perform at a film festival in Chichibu. So we are scheduled to perform on September 15, which is a national holiday. We are singing in front of cake shops as part of a promotional event to highlight the maple syrup produced in Chichibu.

In any case, they gave us a permission to sing all of our original gospel songs on the stage!

Thank you!

This photo was taken when we performed in front of Chichibu Station on this June.
